if your heart longs for raw photos of you + your people, at home sessions are for you.

Here’s how its all gonna go down:

First we’ll arrive in your home or dreaming field of glowly light and start with the classic moments because we need those for posterity (and lets get real grandma and grandpa neeeeed it.)

But the rest of the session will include crazy kid moments and loving snuggles, tons of belly laughs and if your kiddos feel up to the goggle/helmet/princess shoes wearing crazy. I’ll be honest there will be some fighting and tears and the hot messes will happen. But we will absolutely get the love drenched connection, because it is there every single time!

How can I convince you an in home sessions is where it is at?

One of the many reasons I love in home sessions is the increased comfort level of dad. I can relate to the dads sooooo much. I hate getting my picture taken! Though it may be different reasons than dads---I still would rather NOT do it! A whole slew of insecurities start rearing their ugly head. UNLESS. I'm told exactly what to do. Where to place my head, how to have my hands, where to look sometimes. And a reminder to take a deep breathe--Enter #bossypantselizabeth

What if my home isn't "Pinterest worthy?"

As long as you have a window, or a door way-- we can make magic happen. It is all about the whole picture not the individual rooms we will be in...and rarely do I shoot with a super wide lens. I am more concerned about the connection than I am about the color of your walls.(mic drop) Also being at home also invites familiarity and comfort, so a few of the harder parts are already taken care of.

I'll be honest in home sessions are not for you if...

-you want traditional, posed, everyone-smiling-looking photos. We’ll get a few of those, but they are not the focus of our time together. Connection, love, and small details is where I always gravitate too!

My favorite part about getting pictures taken by Elizabeth is her ability to make me feel comfortable.  She is the type of person that can talk to anyone about anything and make you feel like she's your best friend from the get go.  This reflects in the pictures she takes because stress, insecurities, worries or fears are never seen in the pictures.

I would say if you want family pictures that go above and beyond the typical "stand still and smile" type (although she is great at those too!), Elizabeth is definitely your photographer. You won't regret booking with her and you will most likely be a customer for life! I know I am!

Although I'd always wanted to do a lifestyle shoot in our home, I was nervous the day of because it can be stressful to have someone come into your house, but Elizabeth immediately put us all at ease and was so low-key as we finished getting our kids dressed. It was such a fun, no-pressure experience and I couldn't be happier with the gorgeous images she captured of our family in our own environment.
